problem #1

X-Trail

  • Automatic transmission

The car purchased in October 2013, had an oil leak which the main service center of the agent could not detect, sub agent of the principals detected at 24,000Km. no spares spares were obtained which were not correct then finally fixed we were not informed as to the cause or the fix. after which shuddering of transmission occurred and was denied by the agent at 58,000 km the vehicle was taken hooked up and we were informed no problem. December 2016 the vehicle was kept for well over a week on the 7th of January 2017 we were informed of a need to replace the gearbox. 1/3 the cost of the car. ? sadly we have learned that same model petrol vehicle had similar problem and the gear box was replaced with factory warranty. It would seem that the true cause of the shuddering was concealed by the agent until the warranty period had expired as they had already had to replace, the gearbox of a ( petrol) vehicle. does Nissan manufacture gear-box to give problems at such low KM or is it a genuine factory defect which the local agents who maintained the vehicle throughout did not want to accept. we were informed yesterday June 2017 there is nothing Nissan nor the agent can do ?
