I can't tell how much fuel I have in my truck..I've run out of gas a few time because of this!!

problem #4

Mar 012010

Xterra SE 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 59,030 miles

Nissan decided to recall the '06+ fuel sending units, but not the '05, desptie the fact that it's the exact same part that is failing. I've run out of gas a couple of times as a result and it's an expensive fix for something that should have been covered under the recall. Another good job by Nissan.

Xterra S 4.0L

Just like everyone else, fuel sensor quit working, now having to keep up with mileage and fill about every 200 miles just to be safe

Xterra SE

  • Automatic transmission

I am currently running into some , yet common, serious problems with my 05 Xterra and stumbled across the Fuel Sensor not working correctly. I remembered that I had replaced that sensor in 09 with 78K on the Xterra.

Xterra S

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

My fuel indicator does not work...Ive read a lot of complaints about this. Why should I pay 500.00 to get a 75.00 part installed when it wasn't my fault? I don't care about warranty! Nissan stand behind your product you cheap bastards! Yeah only a few select vehicles were covered under warranty but what about the rest? Again I've never owned a bigger piece of crap, with a company that knows about problems but refused to fix them. Make your customers foot the bill, over defective parts..thanks Nissan.
