I bought a 2013 XTerra new in December 2013. Around 12K miles, I started hearing a squeaking from the rear suspension. I thought it was the leaf springs as I had a similar issue with a Toyota Tacoma (which Toyota had a recall for & fixed at no charge). I took the vehicle to the dealer who said it just needed lube - that worked for about 3 days. I took the vehicle back at 25K miles and the dealer said this was normal operation therefore they would not fix it under warranty. I am currently in contact with Nissan about the issue, but was wondering if anyone else had similar issue. Kind of annoying that my new Nissan should sound like a 1974 Ford pick up truck and Nissan classifies this sound as normal operation.
