Alero GLS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

Had to get my R&P system replaced cause the seal that goes around the steering shaft decided it didn't want to seal no mo'. If your car is whining when you turn the wheel...be afraid...BE VERY AFRAID!

Alero GL 4DR 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 127,381 miles

It is quite abhorrent how Oldsmobile Alero was built... It is a remarkable piece of garbage. Prior to engine consuming the coolant, and prior the failure of power steering, and prior to the failure of the AC Resistor Switch, and prior to the failure of the Starter Motor, the gas mileage on this car is ALOT worse than AWD 4X4 Luxury SUV's!!!

The car needs new intake manifold gasket ($500) as it is both leaking oil (heavily) and burning coolant (quite significantly) all are coupled by poorer gas mileage (220 km on the tank!) and increased engine noise!!!

This car has been thing but a PAIN!
