Pin hole in injector fuel line causing gas to spray on engine. Strong odor in cabin. Covered pin hole with rubber fuel line and clamp. Waiting on latest recall action. I feel this is a very dangerous situation.

I am the owner of a 1995 olds Aurora. I have had two fuel rail leaks in the last two weeks. A GM recall was annnounced last week. The first leak was on the fuel rail to the motor from the firewall. That line was replaced with a rubber fuel injector gas line. The second leak was an inch long crack on one of the nylon jumper tubes between two injuectors. This second leak sprayed the top of the motor with gas. I don't know why it didn't catch fire. The good lord was with me coming home from work. I replaced that jumper with the rubber fuel line also. Now I fear driving the car. I have talked to the olds reps and they indicate I should have the fuel rail replaced. But the replacement is the identical type fuel rail. It makes no sense to replace defective with defective at my expense! the GM recall is 04014 and it indicates that it may be may before a fix is available. I need advise on how to proceed.
