Consumer was in his garage when he smelled gas. He took the vehicle to the dealer, where he was told that this vehicle' make/model and year was on recall. However, this vehicle was not included due to the VIN. The manufacturer was contacted and he told the consumer that the 1996-1997 vehicles were recalled and they would pay. After manufacturer found out that this vehicle had 100,000 miles they changed their minds. The vehicle was repaired at consumer's expense.

I just replaced the fuel rail and a fuel pressure valve on 10/16/2003 because of a leak. It didn't cause a fire, but was very dangerous. My car is a '95 Oldsmobile Aurora. The repair cost was $846.52.
