Today I had to have replaced the connection to the positive side of the battery. The mechanic cut off a bunch of the wire as the corrosion was widespread. Almost everytime I stopped the car and turned the motor off I would have to use a pair of pliers to tighten up the connection to get started. This has happened many times since last summer and I even had the alternator replaced on a road trip because we couldn't start the car and this is what a mechanic said was needed. The problem with the windshield wipers looks like it was covered in a recall but since I purchased the car used I didn't know about the recall when I discovered the problem last winter. I replaced the windshield wiper connections at my mechanic and paid for it. Is there any way to get the money back from the manufacturer? the third problem is that the AWD will kick in when I frist start up the car even though there is no need for AWD. This wastes gasoline and I don't know how to stop the AWD and get it to 2wd.
