Bravada 4WD

Tailgate gas spring bracket design on tailgate inadequate. Failed abruptly, resulting in the tailgate slamming shut, narrowly missing lorraine and son who had just stepped away from the opening. If they had been in the way, they would have been injured, perhaps severely. Gas spring drove upwards with great force and damaged tailgate and back glass.
