Bravada 6-cyl

2000 Oldsmobile Bravada when engine was turned off all electrical features in car died, including power door looks. The manual release mechanism forthe doors were also inoperative. They appeared to be held down by the door lock power circuit. This trapped the driver inside. Police were called and they were unable to open the doors and confirmed that the driver was unable to use the manual release mechanism since it was also inoperative. They finally broke a window to release the driver. Car was towed and it was discovered that the battery was dead. The battery was replaced and a full electrical check of the system was performed and the problem could not be reproduced. No reason was provided for the failure. The old battery is still accessible but I believe that the problem is somewhere in the computer circuits that kept the locks in the lock position until the batery failed.
