Eighty Eight LS 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,998 miles

OK before i say a thing negative about the 1997 olds. 88 i gotta give it up, the car lasted strong for over 100,000 miles But i had many other problems with this almost half lemon. but lets stick to the transmission for now. i'm driving down the road where i work and i just bought a case of water from Wal-Mart for my friends and the smoothest car I've ever driven in my life just came to a halt. to be exact 65mph to 0 in like 10 feet and in like 5-7 seconds. just so i didn't feel bad i jumped out and went in my trunk. the engine was still running but the transmission was locked. this can be fixed in two ways:

1. Buy another transmission

2. have your local mechanic open the transmission and re grease it and replace the balls inside it.

number 1 will be cheaper take my advice but number 2 will give you the same smooth effects as the car ran before this pathetic incident.
