Chrysler designed the power distribution block cover to hold water and retain moisture. This causes the connections to corrode and fail leading to failure of critical, electrically-operated, safety systems including the airbag safety restraint system and the anti-lock braking system. Chrysler has been aware of the error and redesigned the power distribution box. However, they did not recall and offer to replace the failed component.

My airbag light stays on, the horn doesn't work and the cruise control doesn't work. This is a documented recall but daimler Chrysler said that the recall is not on the year of my van.

The air bag light stayed on and the horn and cruise control did not work. This described the effects of a defective clock spring assembly. The clock spring assembly was replaced on 04/16/04 and was currently working fine.

While driving driver applied the brakes and pedal descended to the floor. This caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and hit a tree. Both frontal air bags failed to deploy. Driver suffered neck and back injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle was totaled.

The steering wheel clock spring failed, which caused my airbag, horn, and cruise control to become inoperative. This is a known problem and a recall has been issued. However, my VIN number was not on the list to receive the free replacement. The dealer wants me to pay $300 to fix a known safety defect.

We own a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager. We had received a recall notice regarding the front air bag (clockspring assembly). This notice was for vehicles with 70,000 miles or less (free repair). Our vehicle has 75,000+ miles and yesterday our air bag light is staying on... I do not think that it is responsibile for diamler Chrysler to set milage limits for repairs. We have a large family and us our van alot... diamler Chrysler should not be aloud to set milage limits. Because of this decision, I will not purchase another diamler Chrysler product. Thank you.
