While driving turned the switch to operate rear windshield wiper. Rear windshield wiper motor failed, causing a failure of rear wipers. Also, air bag light on instrument panel to illuminate. Dealership cannot determine the reason for the air bag light coming on. Please provide any additional information / attachments. Note: Previous investigation for this problem (PE 97 049).

NHTSA recall 99V113000 and manufacturer's recall 818/air bag deployment. Also, dealer was not able to fix the rear wiper motor. Was told by the dealer that they were waiting for the prices to go down on that part.

Recall repair on the rear wiper motor causes the fuses to blow, consumer experiences failure however is located in england and is having trouble with repair of recall component. Mjs
