Some months in 1998 after purchasing new van the battery died. After jump starting it the low gas light, and ringer kept going on. After it was repaired I was told the battery was defective. In January of 2002 I had to replace the battery. After I did this again the low fuel light, and ringer kept going off. A visit to two service depts., and I was told that the computer had only to be reset. After bringing my vehicle in far service I was than told I had a bad fuel module, and two thousand three hundred were on backorder. This sounds like a defect due to the number backordered, and also that if the consumer has to replace the battery after the warranty expires he now has to incur additional cost for a defective system problem every time you have to change the battery. 2300 backordered modules (per service manager richard biunno) seems to be a defect!!
