Voyager 6-cyl

On a 2000 Plymouth Voyager with 14 inch wheels (non-ABS), when replacing the front brake pads I noticed that the brake caliper piston was cracked and chipped in numerous places at the outer edge and there were small pieces of the metal piston missing - the missing metal were the size of M&M's. no noticeable problem was detected with the brake pad backing or the rotor. No force was used to remove the caliper or the pad - so this must have happened just while in service. This was only on the passenger side.
