This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Pontiac dealer.
Rear hatch does not stay up. It slowly falls down on my head. You'd think I'd remember by now. When I do I use a metal rod to hold it up. It's embarrassing!

My wife and I have a 2 year old. Try running errands, grocery shopping, etc. without a trunk that opens! My son got a motorized ride on car for his birthday. Try squeezing that in the back door to the trunk area. The problems here were two-fold. First the trunk wouldn't fully release. The dealer "fixed" this problem twice by adjusting the alignment. Then everything froze up and key, nor remote, nor trunk release would open the hatch. Dealer had to reorder part 3 times in order to get it to work.

Rear hatch latch rarely works when interior button is pushed. But you don't know for sure until you go out into the rain to try and lift the hatch. Had it fixed under warranty. It worked until the warranty expired.
