problem #2

Oct 202013

Bonneville

  • Automatic transmission
  • 115,142 miles

The car has electrical issues. When certain accessories like the rear defrost, or fog logs are in use, or while driving and opening the power windows the car will stall and will not start again for some period of time. It acts as though the engine is not getting gas or spark. Its identical to previous issues mentioned on this site. This is very frustrating living in a rural area and not haveing a dependable vehicle.

Bonneville SE 3800

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,000 miles

Features that run off electrical system failed at different times in different combinations. Togther the Power windows main switch would not operate and fog lamps came on by themselves and could not be turned off. Had switch replaced to fix both--$45.00 After having oil change engine would not start. Repair shop "traced" problem to 1 wire--$400.00. Doorlock switches stopped working. Check engine light kept going on and off. Oil gauge needle would move back and forth at will. Gasket head had to be replaced. Powersteering pump has gone out every 3 years. Water leaked into interior starting the day I took delivery... and the arm rest/cup holder won't opened.
