Just put gas in it and went to leave gas station and I have to tap the gas to get it started. I was leaving my job and it did it again. This problem is becoming annoying but it is probably in the fuel pump.

It's a pain in the ass when your car won't start right away

I have a 2005 G6 49,000 miles, which I bought new- almost from the beginning I noticed occassional hard cranking- I mentioned this to the dealer and was told if it continued they would have to reboot the computer- was told to keep them posted- every here and there it would happen again and I finally asked dealer if I was going to be left stranded in another city while traveling- their answer was NO, it's ok, everything is ok because there is no code showing up- not sure if it was ever checked for a code, but I just kept reminding them that it was still doing some hard cranking and they said that they would have to see it happen to fix it- so I told them to follow me on my errands on the weekend! So this week I decided while I was in for an oil change and another interminent prob. I would mention it AGAIN- they said that it would be checked out and it PROBABLY is fixed with the Body Control module replacement that I rec'd today- I was also informed that my warranty ran out in Feb. and I would respond. for the bill- I reminded them that I had asked about this issue SEVERAL TIMES, their response was, "it is mentioned here in 2009 and no code showed up, I will have to asked someone else, but you will prob. have to pay" I'm not sure if this is the response that they have rehearsed per order from higher ups, but it is not accepable!!

Ever since i bought my car i had problems with the starter, it would always stick. i got it fixed however it still has the same problem. Obviously Pontiac g6 starters are junk. I have had many problems, it seems like one after another. Its a nice looking car but i can't drive it half the time.

When I start the car with key or remote start, the starter stays engaged. Lately when this happens the engine chugs and does not start. I will then turn the key off and retry and it will usually start. It first started about a year ago and was very intermittent. Now it happens quite often.
I did take this to the dealership when it first occurred. I was told this is considered to be normal. The car will have an "extended" start since I have the factory remote start option.
At another dealership I was told they cannot diagnose the problem unless is happens and they can then plug the computer in to the car to get a fault code. I was able to get the car to have the problem at the dealer and they hooked up the computer. This dealer told me there was nothing wrong with the car because there was no fault code registered in the cars computer. Seriously? Anyone else out there have the same problem?

I bought this car brand new and I have problem after problem with it. When you go to start it up it just cranks until you give it gas, (I took it back to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong ) I have replaced the lower control arms 5 times, the front end vibrates, I can't even count how many times the brakes, rotors, and pads have been changed. The sun roof leaked twice causing a lake on the floors in back seat area, ( my husband discovered the drain hoses kept disconnecting. We have replaced ball joints 3 times. The lights for my shifter stopped working but my radio and dome lights wouldn't shut off so we had to pull the fuse for those. The air bag, gas cap and door ajar light keeps coming on. My ABS brakes will work, then they don't work. The wiper and heater motors had to be replaced.
FYI to anyone who owns this car, lets hope you don't get a mouse in your heater box because they don't come apart, you have to spend over a $100.00 for a new one of those or live with a nasty dead mouse smell. Genius on GM's part to think of making that one solid piece so you have to replace each time instead of being able to take it apart to clean it like the old ones. Then there's all the recall's that the parts aren't available. DON'T BUY THIS CAR NEW OR USED !
