G6 GT 3.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

Car started fine when I left work, stopped at a shopping mall for an errand and when I returned the car would not start. Nothing but clicks. Called road service for a tow, which was 26 miles for my repair tech ( I don't use dealerships) It was a bad starter solenoid (??) and they have had more a few problems with the make and model. Problem is it happened far too soon. Starters do go out, but usually not under 100000 miles and usually you have some warning.

G6 GT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

I was driving the car normally on an extremely hot day. I had parked it outside of one of my stops and when I tried to start it by remote start, the horn honked and then it just began clicking and flashing the yellow lights. The dealership said the battery needed jumped and I had to wait for the tow truck to come and jump it. Once I let it charge for 40 minutes, I backed it in the drive way and shut it off. It will not start again and I have to have it towed to the dealer. Friend thinks it is the alternator...
