I had my catalytic converter replaced on warranty in october of 2009. the dealership replaced the right side,...because apparently the pontiac g6 comes with a left cat and a right cat. now at 97000 miles and no warranty the left side has blown. dealership wants 650 to replace it. I was never informed there were two converters as the dealer only ever referred to it as a whole.
Also my a/c compressor went. the black wheel that spins started stripping at the threading and does not produce cold air..and makes an awful noise if I dont leave the a/c on all the time...it wasnt too bothersome until summer came along. thankfully that is being fixed monday.
i also have had my tie rods replaced three times over the past three years. HELLO PONTIAC make a recall.
I also have issues with the sunroof drains clogging every year and the car flooding because theres no way to tell if its clogged until it rains. i knew there was a reason my dad only ever drove FORDS. GM sucks.
