The keyless remote entry quit working a week after I purchased the car. I bought a replacement battery. Still doesn't work.

In the radio panel message board. I received a message Key FOB Battery. I replaced the battery in the key remote. Once I replaced the battery It worked for a while then I had to start opening the door with the key. I replaced the battery again. I finally decided to use my extra key. My extra key is opening the door but after a couple of weeks. The message is appearing back. I guess when things get to bad with the extra key I will have to bite the dust and buy a new one from the dealership. Hopefully, I will have traded this car in. Just debating if I should get off the money in this recession period.

Had to click the keyless entry remote several times before it actually engaged & unlocked the doors.

On occasion the remote key fob will not unlock, or pop the trunk when pressed or it will work but with delay or after a few pushes of the buttons. You would think you would just need to replace the battery inside correct yes, but also sometimes the little metal clip inside the fob that holds the battery in place can get lose and become un-soldered from the little circuit board or eventually become removed completely. A simple fix if you have one is use a pencil soldering iron and re-solder the metal clip to the little circuit board and then insert the old or new battery carefully. Just a matter of crappy faulty design that causes this problem.
