The anti-theft system will go off every few months and flash off and on for an entire day. I have a new battery so luckily my car has not died. One evening it happened the horn goes off and lights flash for a few seconds, stops and then does it again a minute later.. Nothing works, I unlock doors, re-lock doors, try panic button.

Took it to a dealer and they did not know what to do, mechanic finally pulled the horn fuse for some peace. Lights flashed in my lot all night and then when I started car in the morning they finally turned off. I have left the horn fuse permanently out of the car. This happens once a month. I Googled what to do and someone suggested to leave key in On position for 15-20 and that seems to have worked, something about resetting anti theft. This is a major headache considering the GM mechanic had no idea how to turn it off and he tried for 30 minutes. GM needs to fix this!
