The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac G6. The vehicle did not come equipped with a rear child safety lock mechanism. The owner's manual stated that the vehicle should come equipped with this mechanism, but it does not. The contact just learned that the feature does not exist when she recently attempted to use the lock. The dealer agreed to install the mechanism at the cost of $460.67. The current and failure mileages were 22,000. Updated 06/02/08
