The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the brake lights stay on while the vehicle was being driven and then went off when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the brake lights wires were corroded. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 09V036000 (exterior lighting: Brake lights). The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 91,000. Updated 10/3/12 consumer stated the vehicle was repaired. Updated 10/09/2012
