My car won't start. I had a battery replaced but wasn't the problem. I had the alternator looked at, but it wasn't the problem. I tried to boost the battery. There are times it would work. At other times, it doesn't work. When I try to charge the battery overnight, it would work but the problem resurfaces when you don't expect it. It clicks but will not start or turn over. The problem seems to be something to do with the power lock and the security systems in the car. When I turn the key, it clicks but won't start. After few tries, it does not even click at all.

I called and reported to GM in Oshawa, Canada. I was told There are no warranties left in the car. After reporting this problem with other G6s, GM was not prepared to even pay for diagnostics to learn what the problem is; no wonder people are not buying GM vehicles any more. My next vehicle, definitely, will not be a GM. It's either Ford or Japanese.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY GM. IT IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE!!.

CAR NOT CRANKING WHEN I HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE OR I GET STRANDED BECAUSE WHEN I TRY TO CRANK IT, IT WON'T DO NOTHING FOR ABOUT 3/4 TRIES. THEN IT DECIDES TO CRANK..IT SCARES ME WHEN IT DOES ESPECIALLY LATE AT NIGHT WHEN I HAVE TO WORK IN THE EARLY MORNINGS, BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL CRANK OR WHEN IT WILL..I DON'T HAVE PEOPLE TO WORK ON IT AND CAN NOT AFFORD TO HAVE IT REPLACED.

THE FIRST TIME IT MESSED UP, WHEN I WENT TO CRANK IT IT WENT TICKTICKTICK..LIKE IT WAS A DEAD BATTERY OR SOMETHING..I TURNED IT OFF TRIED IT AGAIN IT DID THE SAME THING BUT TRIED TO START BUT WENT PLUMPPLUMPPLUMP..ALMOST LIKE IT WAS FLOODED BUT WOULDN'T START..TRIED IT AGAIN AND NOTHING HAPPENED..TRIED IT AGAIN' AGAIN THE TICKTICK THEN PLUMPPLUMP AND FINALLY STAY CRANKED.

YESTERDAY I GET IN IT TO GO HOME AND IT WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING WHEN I TRIED TO CRANK IT..TRIED SEVERAL TIMES ..NOTHING..WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND IT STARTED UP..SEVERAL OTHER INSTANCES LIKE THIS ..ITS AGGRAVATING NOT KNOWING IF YOUR CAR IS GONNA START WHEN YOU GO SOMEWHERE

The theft/alarm symbol shows up in dash not allowing car to start at all and I'm still waiting fir this recall to be put in effect.

At first I thought it was the starter, well I shelled out $200 for that part brand new, wasn't that issue, replaced alternator only costed $75 for that, wasn't the issue, had battery serviced and that wasn't the issue. Call a mechanic found out that if the theft symbol is on in dash it has to do with ignition switch and alarm device, well all these other GM and Pontiac made cars get all sorts of recalls but not this model year or the vin with the letter N in it and im getting tired of shelling out hundreds of dollars to fix something that's not worth it due to something that should've been fixed the first year it came out and not years down the road. I just want this recall for the ignition switch and key fob put into action already and have this issue gone away so i can drive my car, otherwise I'm going to file a lawsuit against GM for something they should've dine years ago and not waited soo long to start doing recalls period!

i have a 2007 g6... with 88k miles on it i went to work one day and the car was running perfect i got off work and got into my car. went to start it and it wouldn't flippin start. all the lights came on like they're suppose to my stereo came on but the engine wouldn't. it would just click. so first thought starter went out. we went and got a new starter and put it in ... still nothing just a click we took the starter back out thinkin they gave us a bad one went and got it tested and it passed 7 times... so we put it back in.. took the battery out and tested the battery the guy said it was dead... even thou it turned my lights and everything on... so new battery and new starter and the car still wont start just a stupid click... my friend got under the car and jump started the starter from the starter..... so im thinking the ignition switch is out??? but i have no clue i just know its highly annoying
