When I turned on my car for the morning, I got a check engine light that suddenly appeared. We have an OBD-II Scanner and it turned a code of EVAP Emission Control System Malfunction of Solenoid or valve. In the cold weather here in the midwest, I noticed that there was exhaust smoke coming from under my car, so my first fix was taping that up. When that didn't work, I called the mechanic up to schedule an appointment. He reported to me that it was a simple wiring harness that needed fixed, and fixed it for about $90. That fixed that code. A lot better price than I thought I was going to drop which was supposed to be about $300-$600!
