My vehicle was not able to shift out of park even thought the shifter would move. I brought it in to the dealer because it should have fallen under. Us NHTSA campaign id: 12V460000. They bill reads:"repair a: replaced transmission cable" cable end separated. Repair B: fractured shift cable end fitting locking tabs cause recall: Install transmission shift cable kit per 12106" I feel I have been lied to and taken advantage of. I don't see a way that the fractured transmission cable could be a result of anything else but the fractured cable end fitting locking tabs. I was forced to pay $300 to pay for something clearly related to the recall. Please help me fight back against the dealership.
