The contact called on behalf of kelli magdaleno who owns a 2018 Toyota highlander. While the contact's wife was driving 70 mph, the sun roof exploded without warning. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to claremont Toyota (601 auto center dr, claremont, ca 91711, (866) 317-5943) where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to an object from the road. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that an object was the cause of the failure. The manufacturer provided case number: 1909301726. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 60,500.
