I just purchased this vehicle on 03/11/2020 and it is showing a error code and the and the speedometer stopped moving, and now it won't change gear's

Car lost power while driving on highway. Engine light came on.garage pulled codes and discovered 4 full quarts low on oil. They proceeded with diagnosis and timing chain stretched to blown motor. No oil light ever came on nor any warning from the driver info center on the dash.

I checked my cars invoices & the VIN # check which said I had the work done. I also was driving in my driveway & the wheel would start to turn then lock up & snap back hurting my wrist. I was able to park it.

The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electrical system, exterior lighting, vehicle speed control, electronic stability control). The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.

I was driving home from school and at the intersection that I take everyday on a busy road (boulevard). When I tried to turn right at the intersection the steering wheel locked and the car went straight in the opposite lane where a semi truck was coming my way. If the semi didn't brake for me I wouldn't be alive today. It was icy and I somehow got myself back in my lane after using all my strength to turn the wheel. This was my closet to death experience to this day and I have not been in the car ever since then. The car has been parked since winter and has not only threatened my safety but has cost my pocket book a lot of money. I find it suspicious that the previous year models were recalled for electronic assist power steering failure yet my 2009 was not and is equipped with the same power steering option. I'm hoping you guys want to make it right as it would be simpler and less drama than a wrongful death law suit.

I have had issues in the past regarding electrical malfunctions with this car. My right headlight continues to go out even with me having it replaced time after time. I have taken my car in for diagnostics tests for maintenance of the car and they have come back saying the car is fine. Although when I go to drive it, somehow a light comes on. Examples include('ESC system off' lights, 'service traction' lights, 'tc' off. The main issue that I am reporting just occurred two days ago. I was driving out of the walmart parking lot onto the main road and the light on my car appeared 'power steering off service ESC' my steering wheel then stiffened up as I was turning onto the main road. There was a car turning right infront of me that I almost hit, because I lost control of my steering wheel. I then took my car into an auto repair shop where they informed me that this was something they could not fix because they don't have the parts and I would have to take it into a Pontiac or a Chevy dealership. This problem with the power steering being electrical is not safe and a recall needs to be done on this model as well. I use my car to commute to school and work everyday and this problem poses as not only a safety risk but a inconvenience to my everyday life. I would like something to be done about this issue. I have been researching this problem with Pontiac and I have noticed it's a reoccurring issue, these cars should not be sold to customers with all of these electrical problems that continue to happen. I have to now pay out of pocket to not only have this car fixed but also for a rental car in the mean time. This is not fair for me as a customer of Pontiac and I would like action to be taken. On the night of decemeber 31, 2018, the family and I were getting ready to go out when we noticed the car wouldn't start and all the outside lights were staying on and dim. Prior to this night, my spouse noticed that the interior lights were staying on as well so he removed the fuse as a temporary fix so that I may go to work. I believe this may be due to the recalls that I recently found out about. Im uncertain of the exact cause of this issue but from what I've read about the recallsb I believe it may have something to do with either the ignition or the brake pedal shorting out the electrical system.

My Pontiac G6 2009 has a power steering recall but they wont fix it because it doesnt come in as a recall when they type in my VIN but iv read about the recall, every time it gets cold my power steering goes out, doesnt matter if im on the expressway or just started my car it randomly will go out, I have a electric motor so I know im not just out of fluid, it doesnt happen in the summer time only winter when it gets cold. I have a 2009 Pontiac G6 GT 4D. It is currently registered to my girlfriend VIN#[xxx]. due to the electrical and technical problems this car has given use so much problems. Especially at night. Well it has an automatic light turn on and I have notes that the back brakes will not turn on unless my foot is on the brake. It is very dangerous for me to be driving especially with children. I've had cars come from around us and tell us to turn on the lights it quit embarrassing. It ended up to whatever electrical problems it had caused the car to have engine problems to were the car was saying reduced engine problems we have spend lots of money trying to get this car running but if something was fixed something else went wrong I have change the computer that cost a lot of money it has got to the point now that the cars Cadillac converter, and fuel injectors have gone out. I have attempted to get the Cadillac converter fixed but the best thing I could do was get it hollowed out. Know it makes a loud noise. Further investigating this matter online, I found this is a very common issue with these vehicles, yet, no recall has been made available yet. Very disappointed in GM, and will take serious thought into ever purchasing another GM vehicle. This has been an on going issue for months for myself. Needless to say, this is not a cheap fix.

The contact owns a 2009 Pontiac G6. Before the vehicle was able to be insured and inspected, the contact experienced the gear shift failing to go into the park position, which prevented the key from being removed. In addition, the vehicle jerked and shook and the transmission disengaged and engaged when changing gears. Furthermore, when the contact exited the vehicle, the radio remained on and while the vehicle was in motion, there was a loss of power steering ability. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. An independent repair facility diagnosed that the alternator may need to be replaced. The vehicle was unable to be safely driven due to the failures. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and recommended taking it to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was not available.

"takata recall " I have been haing issues with the drivers side low beam going out, had it changed several times and service place said it will continue to go out as the wires are melted and burnt and would need to be a rewired. I also having issues while driving the dash lights all go out and then come back on, feels like it loses the power steering and then goes back to normal but happens several times through out the day while driving. Dash lights, radio everything goes off, the exterior lights stay on but not inside.
