The door locks keep locking and unlocking on their own and now the back passanger door lock stopped working. My brake lights stay on when I'm driving and the bad light keeps coming on but my garage can't figure out why, they said there's no reason for it.

I own a 2009 Pontiac G6. Well, the door says it's a 2009, but when I enter the VIN it comes back as a 2010. I have researched and found that my car was not included in the GM recall for the torque sensor assembly, which I find absurd. The power steering in my car keeps going out while I'm driving. I have almost crashed a number of times. This is a seriously dangerous defect. All the research I have done says GM is aware that this problem is affecting 2010's as well, yet they're not included in the recall. That is not fair. Why should I have to pay to fix a problem that is a recall on my GM vehicle, my vehicle just isn't included because my car was manufactured at the end of 2009, so it's considered a 2010. That is not fair. This problem is affecting hundreds of thousands of GM vehicles. They need to expand the recall to include 2010. This isn't some silly little thing that shouldn't be worried about. This is my steering. I could crash and die because they won't expand the recall. I really hope this is seen and something is done about this. I'm not the only one who is frustrated beyond words. It shouldn't be my responsibility. GM messed up and should fix their problems in their vehicles. They should stand by their vehicles.

Headlights going out. Poor connection, burning/melted headlight socket, headlight choose when they want to work. Actions taken, I didn't wait for a recall. Burnt socket lead me to believe the harness wasn't able to withstand the amperage. I replaced the wires running to headlights with a larger gauge. Replaced the headlight connector. All has been well since, going on 3 years now. Another wiring issue is the injector/can sensor harness. If this becomes loose in any way the car runs very rough, poor fuel, low idle, or stalling. At the time my vehicle stalled and was running rough I had no faults or cel. I thought my timing chain was about to snap. All this due to a electrical connection that wiggled just a tad loose.

I have replaced 6 bulbs both driver and passenger side low beam lights I thought they were blown but come to find out they short because they are melting. I have replaced the wiring and the headlight sockets just for them to melt again. I have called chevorlet and GM motors to see why this isn't a safety issue"?" tonight I drove down a very dangerous road (we've had a wreck on this road every night this week) in very dangerous fog and my headlights went out thank god one of my brights worked and I had a quick reaction going 55mph not everyone will and that is a shame because chevorlet & GM motors know that they have an issue as they told me in our phone conversations. The wires to my headlights are melting I try not to drive at night because I'm terrified they will catch on fire as I'm driving down the road. Now I am horrified that all lights will go out. This is a huge safety issue!! we're recalling takata airbags (airbags protect you in a crash) but not headlights going out while driving 55 mph down the road at night" that is putting everyone's safety at risk. Why are we not trying to prevent fatalities??"!!!!

Another GM car fire: 2009 Pontiac G-6. received BCM electrical harness recall bulletin 13036 (August 2014) in the mail, 2.5 years after the fact, in spring 2017. Alleged fix was applied on 5/17/17, 4.5 months later, car is totalled due to an electrical fire in engine compartment. Sporadic electrical issues ensued after the recall work, headlight sporadically cutting out, trunk opening untouched, etc. Stopped at a traffic light, car died, smoke then flames coming from the engine compartment. I have replaced the driver side low beam headlamp socket twice. Both times it showed signs of it being melted. Passenger side head lamps work, sometimes it requires a tap on the lens cover to get them working. Playing around with how they sit in the socket works, until they wiggle out and no longer work until you wiggle it back in, or tap the lens cover. I have been pulled over several times because of my headlamps.

The car was purchased in around 2012 and since has had power steering issues. The power steering went out at least once every couple months and when this happens the car would be shut off then turned back on and the problem was fixed. In the last two days the power steering shuts off every few miles while in motion on both city streets and on the highway. Would turn car off then back on and few miles later the power steering goes out. There are other recalls for the same issue, same year, make, and model. This is a serious issue that needs to be taken care of and the manufacturers should be paying for this issue.
