in-take camshaft position actuator solenoid
The check engine light came on in my car. Took to Auto Zone for an error reading: Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid. Bought the part & replaced it (don't recall if it was the in-take or exhaust) but it didn't fix it the check engine light came back on. Took it to Boyle Buick and was told it was due to not changing the oil. I have the oil changed every 3,000 miles. They reset the check engine changed oil and the light came back on the next day. I was told by an employee that earlier models had the same issue and a recall was done to fix the problem. My car is now due emissions testing and I cannot have this performed due the the check engine light. Have taken to another mechanic and he is researching the issue.

I think it's crazy for me to have to buy 3 parts to try to fix this check engine light on. First code said it was camshaft position sensor, second code is camshaft position solenoid, but reading other people's issues they are saying to replace both the intake and exhaust solenoid. But that's another $100 for parts, I think this should be a recall.
