It has been in the Local Pontiac/GM Shop for two weeks and have been told it is a faulty AirBag control module. Part is roughly 900bucks and labor is 200 bucks. 1100 dollars and not covered under any warranty. Not even a recall. This is a known issue by many people with 2009 G6's. THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 30,000 MILES!!! I have chosen to not have this fixed and the mechanic told me that the air bag will not deploy n a crash because of the faulty module that GM will not recall.

I think GM should do a recall on the airbag issue.
