Intake manifold gaskets deteriorated, causing fuel air mixture fumes to enter into the cab. The intake manifold allowed oil and antifreeze to leak out of the engine. At certain points of acceleration and deceleration the fuel air mixture would expel into the engine compartment and into the passenger compartment. The odor had become stronger.

Consumer noticed smoke coming from under the hood. Took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer determined that intake manifold gasket leaked antifreeze into the engine, and the engine had to be replaced.

We first had problems in June with car running rough took it in for service and paid $700 for manifold gasket blown. Now after driving engine light comes on car has already overheated. Towed home to be repaired at GM facility nov22. Now another $1000 or more to replace head.
