The theft alarm system really sucks. Forget the 10 minute wait to try again. Was stranded out of town overnight because the car keep thinking its been stolen. Its possessed, only starts when it feels like it. I've replaced the computer, had a locksmith try several things and its still doing the same thing. GM really needs to recall any cars with this ridiculous system and fix it once and for all, even if it means totally disarming the theft system. Anyone have the name of a person who can be contacted about this fix.

The Theft System can't be fixed. I've replaced the key start switch, and the instrument cluster (twice) it still thinks the car has been stolen. GM should figure out a fix for their pathetic design job on this car. The electrical system is a joke. The air bag blew for no reason 2 months ago and now this. Every other time I try to start the car the darn theft system kicks in and then you have to go thru the 10 minute reset procedure sometimes more than once. Ridiculous

There should be a recall on this passlock system! I am so angry. I was left out in 90 degree weather because the engine wouldnt turn over as it "thinks its been stolen!" This is big pain in the rear and GM should recall and fix this problem. This is a common problem! Come on GM. I was a loyal customer but I will not buy another!
