Well i bought this car to save money from my previous 1993 Ford Explorer. The Ex. got about 12 mpg but was always reliable so i still have it sittin outside. Well it was great for a couple weeks but now. When i let it sit at school, home, work, friends or whatever when i get going it will make this sound like rocks in tin can. WTF! it will make 5 of the rock noises only when i hit the breaks or am just sitting at a stoplight. It will do it twice just like clock work. Now my brake rotors are shot. My car pulses badly when breaking and vibrates like crazy when breaking of the interstate. Sometimes it acts like it fuel starved and other times it will want to run rich. When i rev it up and let off it acts like it wants to back fire. The steering whines crazy and i think my wheel bearings are going bad. It also has much front end noise. OMG WTF! i like the car but its sure a pain in my ass. My explorer has 182,000 miles on original EVERYTHING, it had the motor hot enough to where it started to freeze up and still runs great. I replaced one wheel bearing cause it went out after driving through some river waters. Glad i kept it cause it will never fail me and has no problems cept my dome light is dead and no fuel gauge. FORD RULES! gm has always failed everyone in my family. only know one good Chevy truck the rest are now junked. Dodge is pretty good as well.
