On the 12th of November I was about 1.5 blocks away from a stop sign and shifted down as I approached while applying my brakes. The brakes locked up and I was unable to steer or stop. I then ended up hitting a fence. The secound time that the brakes locked up I was coming from big O (getting new tires because I had to replace one that was ruined due to the previos accident). As I left the parking lot (with new tires) my brakes locked up and I slid into traffic, luckily the truck seen me and turned in the opposite direction. The third time that they locked up was two months later when I was in casper, wy. I was stopping to pull over and park, the brakes again locked up and I had no control over my car, luckily I hit the curb and was stopped. The fourth time that the rakes locked up I was on my way to douglas (for work) and I hit some ice, while trying to slow down (I was traveling about 55 mph) the brakes locked up, I had no control and I ended up in the barrow ditch. After that I really tryed not to go very fast anywhere that I went because I was scarred that they would lock up again. I had contacted the dealership, numorous times, they couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes, they told me. Except for the fact that they had to replace my brakes (including rotors/pads) 6 times. Then Pontiac was contacted and they wrote to me saying that because my insurance paid for the damage to my car already, that they were "unable to asume any responsibility for damages". I wrote them back and asked them to take another look into this claim because it went beyond the first accident, I have not heard anything out of Pontiac since. I have however met two other people that have the same year car and have had similar problems. One lady I gave a ride to after her brakes locked up and che slid into a ditch, the secound (shirley mondragon) has had similar problems and told me she was going to use the Pontiac complaints # that I gave to her and file one with them.
