About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.

In approximately March of 2000 the vehicle first stalled while driving in city traffic going approximately 35 mph. Was able to restart car and proceeded to dealer service dept. To have car checked out. They proceeded to install a breather valve they felt was faulty. Approximately 3-4 days later, the vehicle stalled again. On the way to the dealer it stalled 3 more times in a matter of 2 miles. They diagnosed the problem as being a faulty fuel pump. Today, August 17, 2000 the vehicle stalled again as I pulled into our driveway after having driven 300 miles. Experienced exact same symptoms as the first time the pump failed. Will be contacting dealer first thing Friday a.M. to confirm problem. Of course, vehicle is no longer under warranty but will demand to be repaired at no charge.
