i have a 2000 pontiac grand am gt with around 131,000 miles. i've had it for almost 3 years and have had NO problems with it until now. my car started running hot so i asked my father to check it out and apparently there was no coolant in it (the low coolant light never came on) and he could not find a leak anywhere but there was coolant all over my engine and inside of my hood. i took it to a mechanic he said it could be a water pump and sent me on my way and said to just keep an eye on it so i have been and i had to keep adding water to my coolant and my car started making awful noises so i parked it for good in my back yard and called the mechanic and he said it could be my intake gasket. i'm not sure why no lights came on in my car to let me know anything was up with the coolant and i'm not even sure where the coolant is leaking from. i heard pontiacs are known for the gaskets so i'm hoping that's the only problem and i'm hoping if i get it fixed then there should be no more problems.

Is your car losing/dumping coolant/fluids from the overflow hose attached to water bottle causing your car to overheat? this is most likely due to the a faulty intake manifold gaskets, this problem can easily be solved by inserting a 2 inch bolt into the end of the hose make sure it's a tight fit. apply as I recommend a little bit of thread tight or other adhesive be applied to the bolt....

After making the this quick and inexpensive repair/modification I continued driving without further problems or repairs for an additional 100,000 before finally blowing the head gasket and spilling all my coolant into oil creating sludge, funny thing the damn thing never overheated it just stopped running, needless to say I will never buy american made again, currently driving a 01 Honda Accord 150000 miles and shows no sign of breaking down anytime soon my last Accord went for 325000 with nothing more than oil change and fuel pump NOW THATS A CAR.......
