This question should be "tell us what happens". my directional levers and lighting to signal right or left does not work most of the time. The light goes on but it doesn't blink at all. I would say this is a problem 97% of the time. This may also happen with my hazard lights. I understand under NHTSA campaign number that she was a recall in 2003, but my car was never recalled under my VIN number. This happens either when the car is in motion or when it is still. It happens on city streets, and highways and even in my driveway. This is definitely a safety issue. I have also had the flashers cleaned and the flasher relay replaced by my mechanic.

My hazard lights do not work, and neither do my turn signals. I am a full-time college student, who commutes back and forth to school everyday, as well as my part-time job. My turn indicators did not always work and clicked intermittently. Found NHTSA campaign id number : 03V327000 mfr's report date : Aug 27, 2003 component: Exterior lighting:hazard flashing warning lights:switch took the car to dealership and they told me there was no recall, when I threatened legal action, they said they found a voluntary fix, not at all the same as a recall. I got the car back and the indicators worked, but when turned off, they continued to click intermittently. Dealer refused to fix. On 9/26 the dash started smoking when I used the turn indicator so I took the car in and the dealer charged me $345.15 for the repair. They replaced the turn signal switch in the tree. They said it was shorting. Greg meyer service manager at pierson agreed that Pontiac should pay, but said his hands were tied. He suggested I file this complaint. He further suggested that legal action may be necessary.

I own a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE recently, I had paid out of pocket to get my "hazard warning switch, " replaced because the turn signals/hazard lamps become intermittent or inoperative. NHTSA put out a recall on 08/28/03, recall #03V327000. I took my vehicle to a GM dealer in Hawaii in an attempt to get the part replaced under recall. The dealership did not honor the recall request and stated that I must pay out of pocket. I then took my vehicle to an ase certified mechanic repair shop and had the needed repairs done. I paid $98.36 out of my pocket for the part and labor. On 4/18/07 I called GM (1-800-620-7668) to request reimbursement for what I paid out. GM refused to pay. I am now seeking reimbursement for the monies I had to pay out. Are you able to assist me with this problem?

My blinkers and hazard flashers do not work any longer. It started with the blinkers not working on warm days and now they are not working at all. It seems to work like once a day when it is really cold but that is it. My hazard lights do not work at all any more. It is very dangerous and scary to be driving with my 2 young children in this car. I have been close to causing many accidents due to not having blinkers or hazard lights.

The signal lights malfunctioned and started working only part of the time. This almost caused me to be rear ended due to the failure of the signals. I researched the vehicle on this site and found that the 2000 Grand Am was recalled for this problem but when I took it to the dealer I was told that it wasn't included in the recall for the 2000's. I feel that this vehicle has the same problem that the cars included in the recall have and that it should have been included in the recall. This has failed each time the vehicle has been driven for the last couple of weeks.
