dash is peeling and ripping dash is peeling and ripping dash is peeling and ripping dash is peeling and ripping

The top of the dashboard is peeling back and causing the top vent to crack. The peeling started about 2 years ago and has gotten considerably worse. The plastic is hard and won't bend back to it's original position. Not sure what to do about it, but is seems like this is a manufacture's defect and should be replaced at their cost.
