Stainless steel exhaust system is one solid piece (from manifold to tail pipe) and from brand new the left tail pipe started to tarnish followed by the right side. At 35,000 miles the left side is severely corroded and the left side is corroded. My previous Grand AMs with stainless steel did not corrode in this manner. General Motors have declined warranty because "there is no hole." Apparantly there are many others with a similar problem and apparently General Motors is well aware of these problems and knows that it is a manufacturing flaw but will not warranty because it is very expensive to replace the one piece stainless steel system. General Motors advertise and promote this "stainless" steel system and boast about it. Where are they now?
