I was just leaving an appointment and got into my car. It had been acting oddly, when I say oddly I mean it acted like it wasn't wanting to start on occasion. Not like an alternator or starter or battery issue but it would crank then seemed like the engine wasn't getting any fuel. It happened so randomly that I never noticed the Theft Light blinking. My keyless entry doesn't work anymore anyways so I don't click on the Alarm button on my key ring normally. I have to manually lock the doors and the anti-theft light blinks when I do that so I thought it was on at that point.

Today I tried to start my car, it turned over, sounded like it was about to start then did like a "hssshh" noise and I pressed the gas pedal without thinking and it is like there is no gas "power" at all. So it won't start. I tried the turn the Key to On for 10 minutes, 3 times, and it didn't reset the Passlock at all. Had to call AAA and get a tow home.

Called GM and they say "Oh yeah it's a known problem" but "you have to have it diagnosed and IF IF it is related to the known factory defect then GM will cover the cost of the diagnostics and repair" 1-800-222-1020 is the number to report issues to GM. Now this sucks in my opinion because they KNOW it's an issue and they still won't cover diagnostics unless the diagnostic reveals it's the defect causing the issue! If it's known then am sorry GM is slacking and totally dropping the ball here in not just issuing a recall and fixing the issue with the Passlock Sensors on their vehicles!! IF GM CEO got stranded with this issue you can be your butt they'd issue a recall and he/she wouldn't have ANY ISSUE having their problems resolved at no cost!! I will never buy another Pontiac not EVER!
