When I first bought the car it had a ticking noise coming from the hazard light area. I finally took it to my mechanic and he determined it was the multi-function switch.($321) So he replaced it - that was only 6 months ago. About 3 weeks ago the clicking noise came back here and there. Yesterday I had to go out of town and on the way back the blinkers stopped working completely. It almost caused an accident when I tried to turn to get off the highway! It was really scary. I plan to call Chevrolet first thing in the morning. (Today is Sunday and they are closed) I read from your input to have the hazard switch checked. I hope so!

one day i was driving my car and i went to turn the blinker on and it wouldn't work then i checked the bulbs they were good, i pushed the hazard button an they didn't work either a few days later they just started working again. They seemed ok then went out again and now they don't work at all!! there is not all that many miles on the car i don't think it should be broke or i have seen many other people report the same problem im thinking this part should be recalled!!!!!!!

After I use the turn singnal there is this constant clicking that will be slow sometimes and super fast other times. I have even seen smoke come from the steering colum.

CONSTANT CLICKING WHEN NO SIGNAL IS ON AND WHEN I TRY TO TURN IT ON, WONT WORK AT ALL. SAFETY HAZARD FOR SURE AND DEALERS CHARGE 400 OR BETTER TO FIX. SHOULD BE A RECALL. GM IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT TOYOTA IF THEY DON'T GET IT STRAIGHT

The car was running and I ran in the house, came out and the car stalled. The air was running though. I wasn't sure what happened. So I noticed my hazards, traction control and fog lamps didn't work from there on out. I touch buttons for these items and i here clicking on the passenger side. This is not the first problem with this car! First the compressor needed replaced, dealer paid for that. Second the fuel pump went out, dealer paid for that. NOW THIS!! I think it is all some how related. OR ITS JUST A PIECE OF SH*T!!!! I'M GOING WITH THE SECOND CHOICE. Tried looking at it myself, but really don't care. Would like for the car to just burn up the next time!!!!

well i bought my car in October everything was fine for a day or so then the dash started clicking i messed with it for a minute and figured out it was the hazard witch or so i thought i messed with it until it stopped then it started again so i went and bought a new switch it worked good for about a hour then stated again so now im stuck listening to clicking until i can afford a turn signal switch my car is fully paid for so i have no warranty everything come out of pocket so im sol i think if you buy one of Pontiac's cars if there is anything at all defective whether or not you have a warranty they should fix the problem we willsee where this go's.

Turn signals would sometimes not function. This persisted for awhile and then the clicking sound would not disengage. Had to replace the multifunction switch. This is a garage stored car with less than 100,000k on it. This type of part should not fail unless it is defective. After getting it replaced, it started failing again, at random times the signal lights would not engage. The dealership would not do anything because it would not do it anytime I brought it in. After complaining to the service dept manager, he made some calls and somehow figured out that it is not the multifunction switch, it is the hazard switch. The multifunction switch was causing the constant clicking sound from before. It is a faulty hazard switch causing the signals to randomly fail. I already paid a couple a hundred to replace the multi switch, now I gotta fork out another 51 plus labor for the hazard switch. In case you haven't read my other posts, my replacement tally is now 2 front wheel hubs, a multifunction switch, a hazard switch and the passlock sensor.

The turn signal multi function switch failed at only 50,000 km (30,000 miles)??? Only six months after the factory warranty ran out! This is clearly a manufacturing defect and GM should have replaced it free of charge. The switch itself sells for over $400.00 which is outrageous considering nobody should be needing one with so few miles on it and the labor is unknown. This started when GM Goodwrench replaced the radio assembly because it ate a cd. When the car was returned to me the time could not be set on the radio, the steering column came loose a day later and wouldn't lock and the cruise control no longer worked and the left turn signal would intermittently not cancel. I returned the vehicle to GM Goodwrench and they fiddled with the steering column for a couple of minutes and got it to lock. They never repaired anything else and procrastinated until weeks later the warranty ran out. I email several complaints to GM and was treated so badly that I gave up. I figured out how to set the clock on the radio by disconnecting the battery and waiting until 12:00 to reconnect it. The cruise works now, but intermittently. Then, last week the turn signal relay started going nuts and now clicks repeatedly, rapidly over and over when I drive. I took the car to GM Goodwrench and the told me that it will not be covered and that it will cost me a grand to fix. This is a turn signal switch which is not something that should fail until the car has hundreds of thousands of mile on it, not 50,000. I will never by a current model GM again. GM has a lot of work to do to repair their image which kind of sucks because I prefer to buy North American vehicles so that my money stays on this continent.

My problem with this started a couple months after we bought the car. One day the turn signals would work and the next they wouldn't. Then they just stopped all together, it went on like that for years. One day they mysteriously worked again, and have worked fine ever since but they ushered in a new and more annoying problem, (the clicking) that will be discussed in a different complaint.
