I have had my car for six months, and I have put a considerable amount of mileage on it since it was purchased (about 25,000 miles). The car has survived through four trips from Iowa to Colorado, and being used as a pizza delivery car during this last harsh winter. I have never had any problems with it until it hit over 100,000 miles, then it started to fall apart. When I took it to a mechanic because my brakes weren't acting properly and my front end was rattling, they test drove it and found one of many problems. Apparently my wheel bearing was only a few miles from complete failure, and my rotors were worn bare. I had to replace the front two brakes, my rotors, and the driver side front wheel baring all at the same time costing me over six-hundred dollars. The brakes and rotors are understandable, considering the amount of wear and tear, so I do not blame the car. Just another routine shot to the pocket book. Man, cars are expensive. Now I'm struggling with a driver window that will go up but not down, a constant clicking behind the radio, the rattling under the car is still there (now accompanied by a rattling in the back when I brake), and a transmission that refuses to shift when its cold out. I'm in the process of trading the car before the tranny becomes noticeable. All in all a great car... until you hit 100k.
