I have a 2004 grand am. I have had both sides of the front windshield molding both fly off when driving. I have replaced it 2 times now on each side, and followed the manufacturers installation instructions, and it still falls off. This is how I finally fixed it, i went to the parts store and bought rtv silicone and just filled the area where you install the molding. That finally fixed it. The manufacturer says to use a small amount of silicone. THAT DOES NOT WORK!! IT WILL FALL OFF AGAIN. Just use a stronger silicone and a lot of it and it will hold.

The passenger side had been repaired already and I feel that even though the driver side was not bad at the time it should have been replaced anyway. One hard rain and now my carpet smell musty and I can't get the smell out.

Just annoying and ugly looking. It fell off I tried putting it back on with auto adhesive but it just keeps falling back off. I threw the damn thing away.
