problem #2

Nov 082010

Grand Prix 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 147,000 miles

Signs and symptoms of my issue are consistent with GM recall 02049 and NHTSA Campaign 02V28600, which involves failure of the rack and pinion system and the inability to turn the car left. After several calls to GM and Pontiac, they claim my VIN # does not qualify for this recall. Hogwash. This is easily a $1300 repair, which I can't afford. After the poor customer service and non-english speaking reps I have dealt with, I will never again buy a Pontiac product. Thank God that Pontiac is no longer making cars!
