problem #1

Mar 152011

Grand Prix GTP 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Fuel gauge basically stopped working completely, along with the fuel information on the information center. Either reads that I'm completely full or on empty and my fuel light is almost always on. Information center either says that I have 450 miles of fuel or is just blank. Really starting to become a pain in the ass. Run out of fuel regularly now. Car also has minor problems with the fuel pump, have to jiggle wires in trunk to start car. Have also had the stuck key in ignition problems, broken heater fan, and now starting to get window problems. Pass side goes up about 3x slower than normal and Driver side doesn't go up at all, only down.

Update from Sep 2, 2011: New fuel pump fixed the problem of hard starting, random stalls, and now my fuel gauge reads correctly. Also mildly fixed windows, sprayed electrical cleaner into the switch connectors.
