Grand Prix GTP 3.8L V6 Sc

  • Automatic transmission
  • 96,100 miles

so the car started to buck and skip. did a compression test and found that #2 had 0 compression. i called the dealer because it was 2000 miles out of extended warranty. they would not help me so i told them to sod off. i owned the car for 6 months when this happened. i found the exhaust valve spring broken in two. tore off the rear head and sent it to a machine shop to check for bent valve. head was ok with no cracks. resealed. spent 6 days repairing. too much work. i will never ever own a Pontiac ever again. i called Pontiac to see if they would help. they told me i would have to bring it to a dealer. they said they would only maybe cover a small portion . i told them i would never buy another Pontiac as long as i live. these cars are known for electrical and engine issues. usually both together. don't buy these pieces of crap. they may be fast but they have to run to be fast

Grand Prix GTP 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112,000 miles

Well i just got this car and within 24 hours my keys were already getting stuck but i figured that problem out but now i noticed a few times when im going up hills with cruise on that it'll start kind of shaking and chugging. But i thought it was just because of cruise well the other day i was getting up to speed at about 45 it started doing it. I noticed the battery wasn't on tight plus it was old so i just replaced it. Does anyone know if it could have been happening because of the battery not hooked up tight or is that something like a fuel pump? It also sometimes don't want to start.
