My 2000 Grand Prix gtp caught fire on January 16, 2008. I bought my car well-maintained and had been keeping up on the maintenance very well. My gtp had been having no signs of any trouble including the day in caught fire. I had just turned off my car and went inside. There was nothing abnormal about my car- no smells, no check engine light on, and no gauges showing that anything was wrong. Within 20 minutes, I had gone inside, my car started on fire, the fire department put out the fire, and I came back to see my car totaled. Everything under the hood was melted, engine and all.
