The day we got the car, we went to take it for a drive. Ok, so my mom accidentally grabbed the spare key. We went to start the car and it would come on, but would die 5 seconds later. Also, the security light stayed on. So then my dad reset the battery cables and it worked. We still took it to the dealer 2 or 3 times before they figured out the problem. Turns out the spare key wasn't programmed right. Basically they told us to stick the regular key in, turn the key (not all the way so it starts the car), stick the spare key in, and turn it back the other way. we haven't had trouble since then. it got fixed, but at that time is was a pain in the ass to deal with.
