I have been a Grand Prix owner since 1976. The 2002 GT was the biggest mistake I ever made in purchasing a car in my life. Exhaust manifold, poor quality suspension, cracked intake manifold gasket, heater motor, windows, door runners falling off, head lamps, cruise control problems, 4 recalls, if you drop oil on the manifold it will catch fire...learned this at a gas station...thank the lord the attendant was quick with the fire extinguisher. No wonder why Pontiac doesn't even exist anymore. The part I need now is called the control switch...controls many electrical functions in the car...the part from a GMC dealer ...$520.00 ...to install another $200. You have to be F%*$#?g kidding me. I have learned my lesson in that believing in this American made car and the company that manufactured it was a sham.

its never fun to get pulled over because you dont have break lights. i got pulled over out of town. and had to drive all the way back in two weeks to pay the ticket. i found the part for about 198.00 dollars and had my dad put it on for me at the dealer ship where he works. (not at the Chevy/ Pontiac place)

I have no brake lights, except the one in rear window. The dealership says it needs to be re-wired, (get real), at least they tried to convince my wife of this. We tried replacing bulbs, fuses, none of this worked. I very much doubt it needs to be re-wired. Come to find out it is my relay switch. But nobody seems to know where it's located, under the brake pedal, (nope), under/in the steering column of all places. Does anyone know how much this will cost? I live in the city, traffics a bitch, can't afford to go much longer without a fix.

The brake lights on our car went out. We replaced the lights - still didn't work. Replaced the fuses - still didn't work. Bought more fuses and more lights - still didn't work. Looked up the problem - found out it was our relay switch (hazards didn't work etc.) - had it replaced by the dealer for an arm and a leg!

I learned about two weeks ago that I didn't have any brake light except for the one in the rear window. I have replace fuse, bulbs still no brake lights. It has been diagnosed as the multi-function switch $336.00 plus labor. This is a very dangerous just asking for a wreck.

GM knows that the multifunction switch and wiring problems cause the brake lights to stop working and choose to do nothing to manage it.
